Hepatitis C

Infection of the liver caused by a virus. Hepatitis C is transmitted through blood-to-blood contact, for example by sharing a razor blade, toothbrush, injection material, or though unprotected sex if the partners have lesions. It is a sexually transmitted infection (STI).
