Female genital mutilation
Female genital mutilation is also sometimes called circumcision. The clitoris is removed, and sometimes also parts of the inner labia. Sometimes the labia are also sewn together. Afterwards, the girls and women only have a small opening from the vagina for excretions. Often the women and girls experience inflammation and also bleeding after circumcision. Many circumcised women feel less pleasure and have pain during sex. The circumcision also causes health problems later on. Female genital mutilation is forbidden by law in Europe.
